[The oBscene] New Releases!

Time to take out the wallets again ladies because the funky and fresh Kuja Akina and Angel Cleghorn have just come out with some wonderful new releases at The oBscene! Too be honest I was not familiar with this store or designers, I had seen some of the skins on some avatars and just thought they looked so fabulous but most of all really “cool” looking, I wasn’t sure where their skin where from so I asked.
So I made my way over there (very quickly!), through the lag I started trying on every skin. OH MY it was love at first sight! I couldn’t find anything wrong with them and I tried. If you love make-up the way I do you have to go and take a look, trust me it’s worth it. Ok back to the initial point of this blog, I got in contact with Kuja, which I must say she is one of the nicest designers I have met. She sent me her review pack of the 5 new skins and two new dresses which were release 2 days ago...

There are 3 different skin shades and ready for this 32 MAKE-UP OPTIONS + 4 of the older ones !! The latest skins are 1000L each and the older ones are 950L. If you are like me and adore them and want to buy many, since there are no “Fatpacks” available at this time, feel free to contact Kuja Akina, she will be more then happy to work something out for you.
Kuja Akina and her partner Angel Cleghorn opened their latest “Flagship” store less then a month ago. Angel has done some wonderful shapes which you can actually try on before you purchase. There are many cute things at [The oBscene] and I really love what many of these new designers are bringing to our second lives.
The 2 new must have dresses are called Flower of Evil and One Night Stand. Flower of Evil comes in 2 colors Dark Side and Tempt Side and it has 4 different skirt options. One Night Stand comes in 3 different colors Deep Blue, Deep Fushia, Deep Purple with 3 different skirt options.

Oh I’m just so excited, Kuja has said to me: “my skin names comes from the goddesses [ and a few gods] of fertility, love and sex. When I start to make something new I think of the name I want then flow with it, what image comes to my mind.” Well I hope many more image will come to your mind in the near future!

Until next time

lessthan3 <3

I want to say a big CONGRATS to my dear friends Nykki Heartsdale and Faadal Mokeev for opening their second "lessthan3<3" location today at the Vain Inc. Plaza (http://slurl.com/Mangakino/108/188/29/) They just started out a month ago and have been nothing else but succeeding as new upcoming designers. I want to share with you what you can not only find at this store but also their newest releases!

These are the Circus Girl Skins. they are fantasy inspired makeup with an antique doll flair. Each skin tone has it's own unique, skin-tone-complimenting makeup.

These are the Scene Couture Skins. Haute Couture runway style meets the "scene" style of makeup. I find these so fun and funky! Regular clean and traditional makeups also available. All skins available in singles or fatpacks.

Here you see me almost nakid (WOOT!) wearing their new release tattoo Fables. It is the song lyrics from folk metal band Fair To Midland, written in an elvish style font in underwear layers.

This is a freebie tank so go get it! lessthan3<3 also offers realistic shapes, male skins (in version 1, version 2 coming soon), eyes, clothing, and fun trinkets. For boys and girls. Here is where you can find their main location http://slurl.com/Vodou/171/43/33/ .
Have fun!

Made out of steel

That's right people, I'm not only Pixel I'm also made out of steel! I have been wanting to blog about this dress for a while now, just never seem to find the time. I took a few quit snaps (yes I know they are bad!) because I really wanted to show this outfit and this wild hair.

This dress is from *Tres Jolie* and it doesn't come cheap, if I remember right I payed about 1200L but I couldn't restrain myself. I found it to be very original and very detailed. I like the fact that I didn't see everyone wearing it. I also have to add that I have been having problems with a lot of dresses I have been buying because of my AO. My hips just moves too far to the side which makes my outfits look silly, and I'm not one to want to start modifying everything. Bottom line, I was very happy this wasn't happening with this one! It just flows right if you know what I mean. And the hair, how wild is this hair?! I just love it!

Be good...lol

It's all Digit baby!

We had these outfits in the Vain Inc. One Year Fashion Show and I want to blog on them. Not only are they wonderful and hawt but I just think Digit Darkes did such a great job. So here they are!

This is the fabulous Determined Coat in Black its worn with the Affair Slip Dress in Silver/Black , the sheer open front cinched coat is fastened at the side with the Digit Darkes double D logo in silver. The train of this coat glides elegantly behind you and the stunning addition of the Affair Slip Dress underneath is just a divine look that can be worn on intimate occasions or out and about as intended to collect many admiring glances.

The Antigua in Carribean invokes images of moonlit walks along the beach and watching the sunrise in the arms of a lover, the billowing skirt again open fronted is a wonderful pastel floral print in silk , clasping at the front with the signature Double D , the panties and top of this wonderful creation can be used as lingerie or swimwear so those moonlit strolls can turn into heating up the surf.

Reflection is a floor length V-neck Gown with sequin bodice and lace skirt, the print is divine in this gown and the open front allows for sensual flow and movement when dancing or making that grand entrance. Its cross over back drapes down and caresses the skin, its a masterpiece for all formal occasions.

This dress is named GossipGirl because there is one in all of us , Digit Darkes created the Party Dress to stop people in their tracks , want tongues wagging then enter your next event in this dazzling collection of glittery ruffles, a combination of 80's tier and 20's flapper a babydoll that screams Girly.

'till next time

The FAB prefab!

Miss Faint Paulse has done it again, she has now launched her first prefab which I must say is pretty amazing. I have always wanted something well built inwold but yet original. Not many times I seemed to be happy with that I was looking for. BUT this lady sure has made me happy with this one! The detail and attention in her work is unbelievable. Here is some info on this fabulous prefab I just purchased.

Eagle 5 is equipped with tinted windows. Click the lighinabox on the
counter and select one of 10 shading options. Try 100% for sexy time
or 0% for a breezy day. Though it was originally built as a skybox,
the Eagle 5 looks beautiful floating just above water.

The picture window and the center wall with 7 canvases are all modify.
This way you can change the art to any texture of your choice. Just
drag and drop the texture from your inventory to the front face of the
window or canvas.

The sculpted bed is menu driven. Sit on the pillows and select jump,
read or sleep. The seats at the counter each contain a different animation. (Eagle 5
makes a GREAT OFFICE!). It's even got a PC where you can shop online
or play SL.

Upstairs in the bubble garden, the tile floor is also a trap door.
Click it once and it opens (becomes phantom), so you can fall through
to the lower level. Click it again and it's solid. Each bubble chair
also contains a different animation and comfy, sculpty cushions.
(In all, there are 12 different animations in the Eagle 5.)

The Eagle 5 is a total of 208 prims, including all decorative features
from the lightinabox to the ceiling fan and light fixture to the lily
in a vase at the doorway.

SOO do your part to reduce emissions and stop grid-warming by purchasing
the eco-friendly virtual home: the 120 Eagle 5 Spaceliner

MY LOOK FOR TWO DAYS!

I feel like I haven't blogged in ages, as many of you know I was extremely busy with the fashion show which is finally over! Anyhow, for two days I didn't change, which is not like me, but I just felt so comfortable in this outfit that I refused to put anything else on. The minute I walked into *Dela I fell in love with these tanks and scarf that come together...so yes I had to buy in every color! I love the fact that these tanks are long because I'm not one to wear short tank tops. The shoes and boots in this store....OMG!Ladies and men it's worth a trip to go see. I just had to buy these. My look of the day!

It's official, I'm obsessed with the magnificient BiancaF! She came out with new realeases today, ladies and it's worth a trip to her store in Addictive (164, 156, 22) to have a look.

She came out with this Crochet Dress which comes in differents colors. Some of the dresses include her new Twiggy earrings and others include gloves and a bow clutch bag! Keep in mind these accessories are sold seperatly also. OH, and the gloves, as many of you know, I'm a glove fanatic, and the great thing about these are not only the texture but they are tintable!

Hope you enjoy as much as me...until next time!

BiancaF’s NEW SKINS!

It was with great pleasure when I was asked by the talented BiancaF to blog about her new series of wonderful skins that are coming out next weekend. That’s right ladies you have one week to save all your money and then go broke the minute you try them on! I just can’t get enough.
(Here are the names from left to right, LONDON2, BLOOM, DISCO, PARTICELLE, and ORO all in Bronze)
I am a HUGE fan of her fashion forward creations but when she talked to me about skins I was a little worried. Not doubting her work but the truth is not many skins seem to suit me well. There is always something looking wrong with my avatar as soon as I demo them. When she gave me her new skin series, I put on the first one and I was in AWW, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

(DOUBLEPEACOCK, LONGEYES, BASE, and REDLIPS all in Bronze)
Bianca’s new skins series is named “Fata” and it comes in four different skin tones (Sahara,Moka,Bronze, and Ivory) She has seriously perfected these skins from head to toe. They have such an urban edge yet so delicate. They simply are very realistic but most of all feminine.

These skins are MUST HAVE in any girl’s inventory, so look out for the release but most of all enjoy once you have it!

Dear Inventory

AAAHHHH...don’t you just love the feeling you get after spending an afternoon, day, week, weekend, or month cleaning out the clutter from your inventory? Well I am not experiencing whatever that feeling is suppose to be since I never cleaned my inventory once. For the past few days I have been really wanting to feel that “YAY MY INVENTORY IS ORGANISED” feeling.

So what’s the scoop on keeping it sparkling and “fix it” free? I realized yesterday after deleting 600 items that it is a very personal experience! And while I am not sure that there are any right ways to organize, I know there are many wrong ways. I’ll spare you the details.

I was told that the number one biggest mistake people make is to try and do it all at once. Well that is the only way I want to do it because if I leave it, I will never go back to it. Why don’t they create some kind of system where it’s all organized, ALL THE TIME, no matter how much you buy? Oh dear, I’m discouraged!

On my attempt to my cleaning/organizing binge yesterday, I realized there are a lot of questions I don’t have answers for, like why do I own the same dresses in 6 diff colors, or what was I thinking when I bought these outfits, or better yet, why do I get boxes of freebies when I never take the time to open and look at them?

We inventory CEO’s usually start itching to get rid of the seasonal clutter right about now because it’s early spring. The holidays are gone, flowers are about to come out, and it’s time to think about the things that need seasonal cleaning. I’m going to keep procrastinating about it for a while, but I will (hopefully soon) get my pink rubber gloves on, focus, and get down and dirty with Mr. Inventory....fun!!!

Feeling Fierce

Today I felt fierce, decided to put on some leather, wrap my snake Diesel around my neck and go explore a little! Lets face it, many designers use leather in their collections, yes mostly in their winter and fall collections since it’s not intended for warm environments but we are on SL and any season can be found!

Like all fashion there is a right and wrong time to wear it as well as a right and wrong way. In RL you would catch me dead wearing leather from head to toe but on SL there are some magnificent full leather outfits that just simply look great. If it’s too overdone it can be just wrong, unless you are going to some S&M club.

A good fit can make all the difference between looking elegant and looking scary. Men and women sporting the correct leather look, exude confidence, strength and sophistication.

If you are not the type to wear a full head to toe leather outfit don’t forget little leather can go a long way toward making a positive statement. Keep it simple with clean lines and stick to no more than two focal pieces. Also don’t get it with lots of zippers or stitching.

So come on rock star it’s time to branch out and get some leather wear that will make more of a statement and the good part about this on SL is we don’t have to feel bad for the animals!!
Until next time

A man’s guide to a good suit!

I know a lot of men hate to shop but sorry to say it’s got to be done. If you can’t do it yourself bring along one of your lady friend to help you out! As great as it is to wear your old, worn out T’s and some old out of style jeans, that wardrobe isn’t going to do you much when you have to go to a formal evening, or better yet to the office or a job interview. This might be harsh, but the business world is pretty fashion conscious and superficial. Talent and strong work ethics can get you far but trust me looking good can help push you over the top. These are some simple guide lines for the modern man.

You need to get a base, a good base! The suit is the centre of any strong formal wardrobe so I suggest to you get it right! You have to start with a solid brand, it will set you back a chunk of money but the aesthetic improvement of a well made suit is priceless. I know in world this could be challenging for you men out there. I find good SL men’s fashion to be very limited, but don’t get discouraged because there are those few designers out there that make a great suit. Unfortunately in world you will need to be your own tailor, because there are many variables to consider. This could be the tricky part so make sure you get it right because there are plenty of guys out there wearing an ill-fitted suit the defeats all the money and effort you put into buying it.

First off, pick the right size. It sounds simple, but every company produces a suit with a slightly different form. Try on a variety of sizes and styles until you find one that properly suits your body type. Sleeves that are too long or too short are a definite sign of classlessness. So, make sure that a quarter inch of shirt cuff is visible at all times. Next, ensure that your shoulder pads fit properly.

The shoulders in a suit frame your entire body, so if they stick out too far you’ll look more like a football player than James Bond. Also, be sure that your jacket closes comfortably without any unsightly gut-sucking. The lapels should always be flush with your body. If you’ve got a beer gut or planning on growing one, then compensate with the cut of your suit (give yourself a little extra room. It’s never a bad thing). In terms of buttons, use two. No more, no less. That’s just how it is.

When it comes to pants there are three things to consider; rise, length, and whether or not to go pleated. If you’re tall, you should go with a medium or low rise. If you’ve got a little man complex then low rise is your only option. Regardless of how tall you are, the pants should fall halfway between the heel and soul of your shoe. No crumpling at the heel. The crumple is the enemy of good fashion. They must be hunted down and eliminated. And when it comes to pleating you have to ask yourself one question: are you a retired insurance salesman? Because they are the only people who should consider the pleat.

Now for shirts. A t-shirt and suit combo is good for casual wear, but in all other circumstances, you have to go for a collar. Ironing is vital (like you didn’t know that already) and white is always welcome, but you should also have a variety of other colours available. Just be sure to keep them dark and cool. That bright colored shirts may look good on the rack, but could possibly look like shit everywhere else - even on you, perhaps. If you’re thinking about popping your collar out, don’t, just don’t, as simple as that. If you’re going to go with a tie, keep it simple or monochrome.

Shoes come next. Lace-up or loafers, it’s pretty hard to fail on this one. As long as the colour blends in with the suit, you should be fine. Brown is less formal than black. As long as you’re not buying from a cheap discount store, it’s hard to go wrong. When it comes to belts, keep it black and go with a silver buckle. If you want to top of the look with accessories you can but simplicity is the key here, NOT TOO MUCH. I mean simple, don’t go adding some “bling bling” chains and big diamond earrings with those flashy Dior fake glasses or else you’ve just ruined it all. Remember you don’t want to look like you are trying too hard.
